During my one and a half year of stay in Bonn, Germany, my goal shifted from wanting to visit other European nations and neighbouring countries of Germany to instead, travel to ever so many nooks and crannies of Bonn, followed by neighbouring regions of Cologne, Dusseldorf, Koblenz, including Frankfurt and regions further off. What played well into my exploration was my indefinite curiosity for food – cafes, restaurants, etc., being ubiquitous, unlike mere tourist attractions, allowing me to pursue both goals at the same time.

I have prepared a list of cafes and restaurants in decreasing order of details starting from Bonn and North-Rhine Westphalia and extending to the rest of Germany. You are welcome to draw ideas for an upcoming visit to the regions or simply read on out of curiosity. Do not be surprised if I included the cafe right around the corner from your workplace since the list is fairly extensive.
